I'm happy to learn I wasn't the only one with that problem. It was frustrating knowing I was missing a step somewhere but having no idea what that step was.

I'm definitely glad it wasn't just me! :)

For some reason when I see a terminal type window like that, it doesn't even occur to me to *look* up top for a menu bar. I kept trying to figure out what line command would let me run a program written elsewhere.

I ended up googling the most absolute basic instructions for writing a program with python/IDLE, because I'd started writing it in a text file, then had no idea how to load it and run it... Finally found this and was like OOOOHHHHHH. *laughing*
