Is anyone out there still interested in starting this in January? I'm happy to lead a group, so to speak, as I'm definitely still interested. I'd like to do one lecture a week, though, as opposed to two...
So, at one a week, that's a problem set every two weeks... Looks like the November start people have been putting up a post for each lecture. I'll try to keep to their pattern. New lecture discussion post each Sunday, and maybe a separate post for each problem set? And seeing as how it's the 30th, I guess we start this Sunday!
Oh, I know... I still have stuff to finish before December turns over officially...

Yep, I'd like to. I will be insanely busy the first few weeks of January, so I might have to do a burst of work to catch up, but I'd definitely like to try.

Oooh. I'm definitely interested! I lost track after the first couple of lectures because the workload was too heavy for me to balance along with the other stuff I was doing. Once a week sounds like it would be a more manageable pace.
Awesome! And hey, if it's still too heavy, we can discuss dropping the pace by half again. No official grades here...

Add me as well, I got through the first few lectures, but I think I'd benefit from starting over and going a bit slower. A problem set every couple weeks would be perfect.

Yes, please. I fell behind and need to catch up a bit but want to continue. The schedule proposed in comments (lecture post on Sundays, separate post for prob sets) sounds good to me.
You'll want to start by going to the course site and making sure you have Python (2.6, not 3.0) installed on your computer. I'll be putting up a lecture post each Sunday with links to the video and handout for each lecture, probably along with some questions I had while watching so we can discuss in comments. I'll put up a problem set post with a similar format every two weeks.
