Call for Volunteers

At last count, we had about 10 people still following along. I need to pass off the group leader position to one of you.

My hours at work increased two weeks ago. That's all well and good, since I need the money, but I'm also launching a small business on the side and something's got to give. I can't keep up with even the 4-5 hours a week I'm spending on readings, lectures and problem sets.

I'll be happy to send the posting schedule to whoever wants to take this over. I'll also continue to post reading links and lectures until someone volunteers, but there will be no discussion questions from me because I won't be reading or watching.

I've enjoyed the parts of the class I've managed to complete, and I wish you all the best of luck in finishing up.

So... any volunteers?

If no one else volunteers, I will, though I'd prefer to be your last resort. I've a substantial number of students this session, and I'm also authoring a screencast course at the moment, so I'm squeezing this in between. Still, I'd hate to see the group die on the vine. I've promised myself I would learn Python, and having a specific schedule to meet is helpful when I'm so busy otherwise.

And therein lies my concern. I've watched lectures 6 and 7, but just had a chance to read the first of the 7-8 readings today. I can usually get 2 lectures in on the weekend, so I'll try to get a little ahead this weekend.

The problem right now is that I really have to get start on this screencast before they get someone else to do it.
